The Perfect Last Minute Handmade Quilt Pattern featuring The Old Garden

Hello friends! I am so excited to share my Fade Quilt featuring fabric from the timeless new collection called The Old Garden, designed by the incredibly talented Danelys Sidron. I'm totally in love with the vintage vibes coming from this amazing collection., with its beautiful prints in a captivating dark blue and lush green that blend flawlessly with the warm tones of mustard and rich brown prints. Crafted with these stunning fabrics, my Fade Quilt radiates a nostalgic charm that is simply irresistible.

Here are some of my favorite prints from this collection. But to be honest, I love them all.

Fade quilt is a wonderful beginner quilt pattern using strip piecing technique, which means it comes together really quick. Trip around the world style combines with bigger blocks makes it ideal to show off these beautiful prints. The finished quilt size is 67 x 67 inches, a nice sized throw quilt.

Some tips for making Fade Quilt is to lower your stitch length to between 1.8 – 2.0, since you’ll be cutting after piecing your strips together. Setting your seam will also help create nicer and crisper seam. Wool mat and Quilter’s Clapper are always wonderful to have, to make your pressing more enjoyable.

I designed the Fade quilt for quilters who are looking for last minute handmade quilt. It’s always been my hope to help create more meaningful gifts that both makers and receivers love and enjoy.

I chose the quilting design called “Sunrise Skateland”, designed by Julie Hirt. The curve lines in this design added great movement to the quilt and the density of the quilting made the textures of this Fade quilt so scrumptious, don’t you think?
