Ripples and Blooms quilt
Ripples and Blooms Quilt is a pattern for Confident Beginners, but I think beginners can easily make this quilt. There are different blocks used to construct it, and easy instructions with diagrams (if you’re a visualize person like me) that can walk you through the process like a breeze. Don’t let the looks of the finished quilt intimidate you! This is one of those quilts that looks harder than it looks. It comes in 5 sizes ; baby, small throw, large throw, twin and queen.
The first version is a baby size, made with all solids from Art Gallery Fabrics. The colors used in this version are as following:
Background: Pure Solids Snow
Color 1: AGF - Tender Green
Color 2: AGF - Emerald
Color 3: AGF - Hunter Fields
Color 4: AGF - Banana Cream
Color 5: AGF - Honey
The second version is a small throw, made with fabrics from Ava Kate Collection by Carina Gardner for Riley Blake Designs. The colors of this version just blend so nicely. It’s bright, but yet delicate. I decided to use Rayon Challis Dahlia Grenadine as the backing fabrics and I couldn’t be happier.
The list of fabrics used in this version:
Background: Confetti Cotton - Cloud
Color 1: Vines in Seafoam
Color 2: Vines in Black
Color 3: Main in Cream
Color 4: Main in Black
Color 5: Confetti Cotton - Cloud
Fussy Cut: Replace Background, Tag C with Vines in Blush
Last one is a large throw that turned into a custom bed size. Fabrics used in this version is from Eve Collection by Bari J for Art Gallery fabrics . These photos don’t do it justice! The colors, the prints, and everything is just perfect. I ended up adding more rows and borders to make it the right size for the receiver. The inner border is 4” wide and 3.5” for outer border.
