Let's break it down, shall we?
Scrappy Version (Bright Pink & Christmas Version): Showcase Your Favorite Fabrics
If you love the charm of mixing and matching fabrics, the Scrappy Version will steal your heart. It’s all about variety and creativity! Using a precut 10” bundle (Layer Cake), every block becomes its own little work of art, depending on how many prints you decide to include. The result? You’ll end up with a quilt that’s full of charm and personality, showing off all those favorite fabrics you’ve been holding onto. It’s got that cozy, handmade vibe that just feels like a warm hug—classic patchwork at its best.
Modern Version (Olive Green/Marsala): Clean Lines and Quick Assembly
The Modern Version is all about clean lines and keeping it simple. With just four colors (including the background fabric), you get a cohesive look that feels contemporary. The granny square blocks (Block A) all match, and the accent squares are made from one fabric, giving it a really polished vibe. Plus, thanks to the strip-piecing method, this version comes together fast—you can crank out multiple blocks in no time!
Hybrid Version (Peach/Yellow/Blue Prints): The Best of Both Worlds
Can’t choose between scrappy charm and modern simplicity? The Hybrid Version gives you the best of both worlds!
Granny Square Blocks (Block A): Like the Modern Version, these blocks are all the same and use the quick strip-piecing method. (Follow Step 1-7 on Page 4)
Accent Squares: Inspired by the Scrappy Version, you get to mix it up with 15 different fabrics for a fun, colorful twist. (To make Block B in this veraion, follow Step 14-17 on Page 5)
What you get is a quilt that’s both playful and balanced. Plus, with simplified cutting instructions, this version is super easy to make—style and convenience all in one!
The hybrid version has quickly become my favorite, especially when I'm on a time crunch to make multiple full-sized quilts for friends and family. It’s the perfect balance of speed and creativity, allowing me to use my favorite fabrics while keeping the process efficient. I hope this version sparks your creativity too!
